Alongside Saurer and Berna, FBW was the third supplier for the Swiss Army’s heavy off-road lorries. FBW also had extensive experience with military vehicles: as early as 1939, the civilian FBW A-series for the army were equipped with cable spindles and marketed as AM for ASerie Military medium and AS for ASerie heavy.
