The Saurer 2 DM and Berna 2 VM were among the most popular vehicles, both with drivers and passengers. A heated cabin with three seats was not a matter of course for army vehicles. And the sliding windows in the doors were also very practical. Power steering, clutch and gearstick with compressed air assistance and a 4-speed gearbox with a high-speed lever on the steering wheel were further comfort features. There were small differences in the equipment between the Saurer and Berna models. The vehicle on display was also used as a snow plough.
